After releasing the 680i copycat, the nForce 780i, Nvidia will prepare itself to finally embrace DDR3 on its newest Intel-loving chipset, the C73. The C73 will be named nForce 790i and will represent Nvidia's high-end DDR3 offer for Intel's upcoming 45nm CPUs.
nForce 790i motherboards will feature three PCI-Express slots ready tri-SLI and will support 1333 and 1600 MHz FSB CPUs together with DDR3-1600+ memory. Expect this new chipset to be officially released next year and motherboards powered by it to arrive after the Intel X48 boards hit the stores.
