| Souvenir in memory of Begum Ra’ana launched |

Speakers paid rich tribute to Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan for her noble contribution as pioneer of the women development, at a function that brought out a souvenir in the memory of Begum Ra’ana.
The representative of Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Memorial Committee reaffirmed the committee’s total commitment to the charter of genuine democracy in order to highlight the vision of the founding Fathers of the Nation.
The souvenir was published in order to mark the birth centenary of Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan, the wife of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan who was herself a leading figure of the Pakistan Movement and a visionary. The photographs captioned on the title of this souvenir have not been published before. In this souvenir, space was given to the memoirs of the leading personalities of great worth which amply depict the history of Pakistan and is really worth reading for the entire sundry.
While highlighting the services rendered by late Begum in several fields for the development of women, the speakers referred to the initiation of Women Naval Reserve, Pakistan Women National Guard, cottage industry, educational institutions and above all the establishment of all Pakistan Women Association (APWA) were the noble steps taken by late Begum Ra’ana for the empowerment of women in the country.
The speakers stated that the Pakistani society should perceive guidance from the vision of the founding fathers in order to evolve the country into a modern progressive state. The ideals of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan and other stalwarts of the great Pakistan Movement needed to be translated into real practice for the sake of cultural and societal advancement of the social milieu as envisaged by the principles of Islamic Polity.
The launching ceremony was addressed by other eminent personalities including the Committee’ General Secretary, Mahfoozun Nabi Khan, C.M. Ijazuddin, NA Channa and Atif Hussain.
