It had been a long, slow drive down south. It rained the whole way, belting down on the glass sunroof above our head as well as the windscreen making visibility very low. Traffic was typically heavy for a peak hour Friday night leaving Sydney. Swan Haven was hours away yet, but we were warm and safe in the car
